Mahomes delivered pregame speech before Texas Tech's Final Four win
It appears the NFL MVP can do no wrong.
Prior to Texas Tech's Final Four victory over Michigan State on Saturday, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes delivered an intense pregame speech to his alma matter.
"It was great," redshirt senior center Norense Odiase told ESPN's Courtney Cronin. "He was excited. You could see his blood rushing, veins popping. He was turnt. (Chiefs tight end) Travis Kelce was there as well. It was a blessing to have those guys come."
The reigning NFL Most Valuable Player was spotted in the crowd supporting the Red Raiders during their 61-51 win over the Spartans.
"It was awesome. He's a great guy," star guard Jarrett Culver said following the game. "He supports his school. We all love to have Pat around, so when he comes out, it's unbelievable."
"He came in our film session, and he said he's proud of us," guard Davide Moretti added. "We did something that nobody (at Texas Tech) has done before. He was cheering for us, and he said that we've got this because he knows how hard we play and how hard we've worked for it. He'll cheer his butt off for us."
