Auburn forward Chuma Okeke declared for the NBA draft on Saturday. He intends to hire an agent but still maintain his NCAA eligibility while rehabbing a knee injury, according to ESPN's Jonathan Givony.
Okeke suffered a torn ACL during Auburn's Sweet 16 victory over North Carolina last month. The Atlanta native was the Tigers' leading rebounder and third-best scorer in his sophomore season.
Despite the injury, Okeke is projected as a second-round pick in many mock drafts because of his stretch-four potential.
