A pair of Zion Williamson game-worn sneakers were auctioned off for the first time ever over the weekend.
The Nike Kyrie 5s - worn by the former Duke star at the Maui Invitational in November - were sold by Goldin Auctions for $19,200, according to Action Network's Darren Rovell.
NCAA rules prohibit athletes from selling school-issued gear, but as Steve Wiseman of the Charlotte Observer noted, this would only be a violation if Williamson sold the sneakers before the end of the college basketball season.
Williamson signed a five-year endorsement deal with Jordan Brand in July and could release his first signature sneaker with the brand as early as the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.
