5-star forward Scottie Barnes commits to Florida State
Five-star forward Scottie Barnes announced Monday he's committed to play at Florida State in 2020.

Barnes spurned a host of other top programs with his decision. The Florida native had also received offers from Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio State, and Oregon.
The Montverde Academy product is rated 11th in ESPN's recruiting database, while 247Sports lists him ninth in its composite rankings.
Barnes has represented USA Basketball at the junior level in a number of competitions. He won gold medals at the FIBA Under-19 and Under-17 World Cups in 2019 and 2018, respectively, and also helped Team USA take the top prize at the 2017 Americas Under-16 Championship.
