Report: USC nearing AD deal with Cincinnati's Bohn
USC is close to a deal with Cincinnati athletic director Mike Bohn that would make him the California program's new AD, a source told Bruce Feldman of The Athletic.
The Trojans have been without an athletic director since Sept. 9, when Lynn Swann abruptly resigned.
Bohn has been at Cincinnati since 2014 and previously served as athletic director at Colorado. His hire of head coach Luke Fickell has turned around the Bearcats' football program, which floundered under Tommy Tuberville. Bohn also recently appointed John Brannen to take over as coach of the men's basketball team after Mick Cronin left for UCLA.
If a deal gets finalized with USC, Bohn will need to make a decision on football coach Clay Helton, whose job security is reportedly in question and who's gone 37-20 with the program.
