UAB is hiring Andy Kennedy as its new head coach, 247 Sports' Evan Daniels reports.
Kennedy agreed to a six-year contract, Daniels adds.
The 52-year-old is set to become the Blazers' seventh head coach in program history. The team's previous bench boss, Robert Ehsan, was fired last Friday.
Kennedy, who played for UAB from 1987-90 and coached at Ole Miss for 12 seasons, takes over a Blazers squad that finished the 2019-20 season with a 19-13 record.
