Dayton sophomore star Obi Toppin was named the men's winner of the Citizen Naismith Trophy on Friday.
Toppin, who has been named a finalist for the Wooden Award, was also honored as The Associated Press Player of the Year in March. The 22-year-old New York native dominated the Atlantic 10 this season, averaging 20 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks on 63% shooting.
The Naismith Player of the Year awards are handed out annually by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. Oregon star Sabrina Ionescu took home women's honors.
Toppin declared for the NBA draft last week and said he would sign with an agent, forgoing his remaining college eligibility.
