Kentucky freshman guard Tyrese Maxey is declaring for the 2020 NBA Draft, he told ESPN's Malika Andrews.
Maxey arrived at Kentucky as a top-25 recruit last fall and averaged 14 points, 3.2 assists, and just under one steal in 31 games.
Projected as a lottery pick, Maxey is a strong defender with a soft touch around the basket. However, he shot only 29.2% from beyond the arc in his lone collegiate season.
