Five-star freshman Wendell Moore Jr. will return to Duke for his sophomore season, he announced Friday on social media.
The 18-year-old forward enjoyed a strong freshman campaign with the Blue Devils, averaging 7.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 24 minutes per game. His best performance of the season saw him drop a career-high 25 points in a double-overtime loss to Wake Forest.
Moore joins fellow freshman Matthew Hurt among the players returning to Duke next season. They'll try to help replace the production of key pieces Vernon Carey Jr., Tre Jones, and Cassius Stanley, all of whom recently declared for the 2020 NBA Draft.
