Coach K on NCAA season: 'The kids want to play'
While the NCAA announced it plans to tip off its Division I basketball campaign on Nov. 25, details are still unclear about the season's logistics.
Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski says his players are ready to go regardless.
"These kids want to play, these kids all over the country want to play," the Hall of Fame coach said. "We have to make sure we make it as safe as possible. I can tell you our school has done an incredible job. Our kids have done a great job, our staff has done a terrific job."
Krzyzewski added the ACC is aiming to play 20 conference games. The NCAA set a minimum of 13 contests for each team to qualify for March Madness.
"Obviously, the metrics to figure out who's going to be in the tournament is going to be extraordinary," Krzyzewski said.
Multiple reports suggested plans are underway for college basketball bubbles. The Greensboro Coliseum proposed using the arena for an ACC bubble, according to the News & Record's Jeff Mills.
NCAA teams can begin practicing Oct. 14.
