Fan paid $1M to attend Coach K's final game vs. UNC
Duke's regular-season finale against North Carolina is turning out to be a pricey affair.
The Duke-UNC matchup will mark the final home game for head coach Mike Krzyzewski, who'll retire at the end of the 2021-22 season after 42 years of leading the Blue Devils. The added significance of the game has caused ticket prices to soar.
During an appearance on the ACC Network show "Packer and Durham" on Tuesday, Krzyzewski revealed one fan paid $1 million at a V Foundation auction for four tickets to the March 5 game.
"This past year we raised $12 million. It's a big event," Krzyzewski said. "And the first auction item was four tickets to that game, and it went for $1 million."

The winning bidder will also be provided with three nights accommodation and dinner before the game, and they'll have the opportunity to tour Cameron Indoor Stadium and attend Duke practice, according to the auction website.
On resale market websites such as StubHub, tickets are listed for as low as $6,500 each and as high as $50,500.
