Carlos Boozer: 'I could definitely see' Coach K returning for another season
Former Duke star Carlos Boozer thinks Mike Krzyzewski could pull a Tom Brady and call off his retirement.
Boozer, a member of Duke's 2001 national championship team, told CBS Sports Radio's "The Maggie and Perloff Show" on Monday that he can envision a scenario in which Krzyzewski decides to return for another season.
"If (the Blue Devils) happen to lose on Friday, I could definitely see coach saying, 'You know what guys? I need 12 more months. I need one more year,'" Boozer said.
"Think about it: Tom Brady goes home to Gisele and the kids for two months. 'Nah, I can't do it yet,' and comes back on the field."
The Blue Devils earned a No. 2 seed in the West Region of this year's NCAA men's basketball tournament after claiming the ACC regular-season title. They face No. 15 Cal State Fullerton on Friday in the first round.
