Five-star forward Mookie Cook de-committed from Oregon's 2023 recruiting class, he told Joe Tipton of On3.
In a statement, Cook said he'll still consider Oregon as he reopens his recruitment. Kentucky and Gonzaga were finalists when Cook announced that he would play for the Ducks.
Cook is ranked eighth on the ESPN 100, down from the No. 5 spot he held when he committed at the end of March. The 6-foot-7 Portland native was coach Dana Altman's highest-ranked recruit since Bol Bol committed as the fourth-best prospect in 2018.
Oregon still has a commitment from four-star guard Jackson Shelstad as Altman assembles his 2023 class.
The Ducks are coming off a 20-14 campaign, and they missed the NCAA tournament for only the second time since 2015-16.
