Kentucky secures commitment from 2023 5-star recruit Justin Edwards
Class of 2023 five-star wing Justin Edwards committed to Kentucky on Monday, according to ESPN's Jeff Borzello.
Edwards is the 13th-ranked recruit in next year's class on the ESPN 100.
The Philadelphia native opted for the Wildcats over reported interest from Tennessee.
Edwards packs a well-rounded mix of passing, slashing, shooting (including from 3-point range), and athleticism in a 6-foot-7 frame. He led Imohotep Institute to the state title as a junior last season while registering 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per contest, according to Kentucky.com's Ben Roberts.
The touted prospect gives Kentucky head coach John Calipari his second five-star recruit in next year's class following Robert Dillingham's commitment last month. The Wildcats are also adding four-star guard Reed Sheppard to their ranks following his pledge in November.
