Maryland head coach Kevin Willard is unsure what will come next for him after his team was eliminated from March Madness in the Sweet 16 by Florida on Thursday.

"I don't know what I'm doing, I'll just be honest with you," Willard said, according to The Field of 68. "I haven't talked to my agent, I haven't talked to my wife. I made a promise to this team that I was gonna just focus on this team, and that's all I've done."

Willard has been heavily linked to Villanova, as the program needs a new bench boss after firing Kyle Neptune March 15. However, Willard said has no idea if the Wildcats position is an option for him, per CBS Sports.

The 49-year-old is concerned about who his superior could be next season if he chooses to stay at Maryland. Athletic director Damon Evans left for SMU last week.

"I don't know who my boss is gonna be. ... In today's day and age that worries me a little bit," Willard said.

He continued, "This is gonna be a family decision. I love College Park, I love Maryland. When you're at this point in your career and you're looking at things, I have to take everything into consideration moving forward."

Willard led the Terrapins to a 27-9 overall record this season and a 14-6 mark in Big Ten play.
