2026 No. 4 recruit Holt commits to Arizona
Caleb Holt, the fourth-ranked recruit in the class of 2026, has committed to Arizona, he announced Tuesday on "First Take."
Holt is the Wildcats' first five-star recruit in the class. The 6-foot-5 wing chose Arizona over Alabama, Kentucky, and Houston. He previously played for head coach Tommy Lloyd on the United States' U19 national team, which won gold at the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup.
"I played for him at USA Basketball, so ... I got to be with him for like three weeks," Holt said, according to Adam Zagoria of Zagsblog. "I saw what type of guy he was. On the court, he instilled a lot of confidence in me. I feel like in my game, I took a big step. Big journey, different step in my game, for sure."
Holt is the highest-ranked prospect to commit to the Wildcats since Deandre Ayton in 2017. Arizona will likely have to replace multiple players from its rotation next season, including stars Brayden Burries and Koa Peat, who are set to enter the draft.
