CBS analyst takes shot at Nerlens Noel on Twitter, promptly deletes it
Nerlens Noel's career at Kentucky was cut short by an ACL tear after an awkward landing in a game against Florida. The injury cost him the remainder of his season, and with it, his collegiate career.
Noel still hasn't been able to hit the court for his new team, the Philadelphia 76ers, as he recovers from surgery to repair his knee.
With the Gators back in Lexington, Noel was honored by the Rupp Arena faithful at halftime of Saturday's game.
That could have been the end of an otherwise simple moment, but CBS Sports' Jerry Palm took to Twitter to take a shot at Noel for some reason.
Result aside, this seemed like incredibly inappropriate & mean-spirited tweeted from national media type Jerry Palm: pic.twitter.com/vD2cOwUNsr

Palm promptly deleted the tweet, but the anger felt by many over the silly joke has not subsided.
It's also worth noting that the ACL tear is the first noteworthy injury of Noel's career, so to call him injury-prone for suffering one freak injury is quite the stretch.
