VIDEO: Fans involved in on-court brawl after Utah Valley's win over New Mexico State

The ending of a game between Utah Valley and New Mexico State devolved into chaos on Thursday night after New Mexico State guard K.C. Ross-Miller whipped the basketball at Utah Valley's Holton Hunsaker in the dying seconds.

It's difficult to tell what actually transpired once Ross-Miller was restrained by New Mexico State coaches. Utah Valley fans rushed the court to celebrate the 66-61 victory, but it wasn't long before fists and bodies started flying.

New Mexico State head coach Marvin Menzies called the melee "embarrassing" and vowed to punish those responsible.

"It was a very heated, emotional game, and if any of my guys did anything that was out of line, they will be punished to the 10th degree," Menzies said in an interview posted on the school's website. "That may affect wins and losses, but they need to learn some life lessons after something like that."

While Menzies was unsure of what happened, he apologized for Ross-Miller's actions. He referred to Hunsaker as "a little chippy" but said his team needed to be tougher mentally to overcome those annoyances.

No suspensions have been handed out yet and Menzies said he will review the tapes before deciding on internal discipline. There is no hard evidence to determine who else was involved in the incident, but the NCAA will surely investigate the matter.
