VIDEO: No. 12 Harvard starts so hot even broken plays look great

How hot did No. 12 Harvard start off Thursday's Round of 64 game against No. 5 Cincinnati?

So hot that the Bearcats' ninth-ranked defense (when adjusted for competition and pace) was unable to keep them off the board even when they were able to get two stops on the same play.

Halfway through the first half, Cincinnati was able to make the Crimson work the clock down to five, at which point Brandyn Curry had to hoist a three for an air-ball. Evan Cummins corralled the rebound but got swatted by Shaquille Thomas for his trouble.

That sent the ball back out to Curry, who hit a desperation three as the shot clock expired.

Boom. Just how coach Tommy Amaker drew it up.
