Former Rice standout Sean Obi says he is transferring to Duke

Following his release from Rice University, Sean Obi revealed his commitment to Duke on Monday via his personal Instagram account. 

In addition to a picture of Duke's logo, Obi announced he will be joining head coach Mike Krzyzewski's program for the remainder of his collegiate career. 

"Happy to officially announce that I will be attending Duke university for the rest of my college basketball career. Very thankful for all the support and love from my family and friends all over, and also to every college Coach that have called and been involved with me throughout this process. Duke it is!!," the caption read. 

Obi will have three years of eligibility remaining, but will be required to sit out the 2014-15 season. 

During his freshman campaign, the 6-foot-9 forward averaged 11.4 points and 9.2 rebounds.
