Colorado's Spencer Dinwiddie to declare for NBA draft
Colorado guard Spencer Dinwiddie will declare for the NBA draft, foregoing his senior year of eligibility.
Dinwiddie missed 18 games this past season after suffering an ACL injury on Jan. 12 that required reconstructive surgery, He finishes his career at Colorado having averaged 13.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.1 steals.
At the time he suffered his injury, the Buffaloes were ranked 15th in the nation and poised to make a run in the NCAA Tournament.
Before making his decision to enter the draft, Dinwiddie travelled to Houston where he received a final medical evaluation. According to the university's official athletics site, he is not yet fully healed, though he has been rehabilitating his left knee since suffering the injury.
Dinwiddie is considered a fringe first-round selection in June's draft.
