After announcing almost two months ago that he was transferring from Purdue, sophomore guard Ronnie Johnson has finally found a new landing spot.

The 6-foot point guard announced on his Twitter page on Thursday that he has signed on with the Houston Cougars. He will redshirt next season, after which he'll have two years of eligibility

In his two-year tenure the Boilermakers, Johnson averaged 10.6 points and 3.9 assists per game, though the team had sub-.500 records both seasons, after previously putting together six consecutive winning campaigns.

He joins a rebuilding Houston program that just brought in Kelvin Sampson as its new head coach.
