Texas Southern lands troubled transfers Thomas, Biggs

Texas Southern coach Mike Davis has recruited two more troubled players who were dismissed from their former schools.
One year after adding Aaric Murray from West Virginia, Davis convinced Chris Thomas and Deverell Biggs to join the Tigers.
Thomas was dismissed from Marshall in June for violating team rules. He was considered a top recruit out of high school but his behavioral issues limited interest in his talent. He averaged 12.7 points and 4.0 rebounds as a sophomore with Marshall.
Biggs was dismissed from Nebraska in the middle of last season for multiple disciplinary reasons, possibly stemming from a DUI arrest in the previous season. He was averaging 9.9 points through 15 games prior to the dismissal.
