Richmond's Alonzo Nelson-Ododa to have surgery; out indefinitely

RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond forward Alonzo Nelson-Ododa will have surgery to repair a broken bone near his eye and is out indefinitely.
The 6-foot-9 Nelson-Ododa was injured during the Spiders' 79-74 loss to Rhode Island on Sunday. He also sustained a concussion on the play when he contested a shot near the Rams' basket.
The school says Nelson-Ododa will have surgery Tuesday to repair a fractured bone around his right eye.
The junior is averaging 7.0 points and 5.2 rebounds. He also leads the Spiders with 36 blocks.
