NCAA announces Kentucky will be overall No. 1 seed regardless of outcome Sunday

While the full NCAA tournament field will not be revealed until 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, one spot is already occupied.
To no one's surprise, Kentucky will be the overall No. 1 seed.
"Regardless of tomorrow's outcome of the SEC championship game, Kentucky will be the No. 1 overall seed in the field." NCAA vice president of men's basketball championships Dan Gavitt announced in an interview with CBS.
Kentucky improved to 33-0 Saturday afternoon with a 91-67 win over Auburn in the semifinal round of the SEC tournament.
The Wildcats, who have won their last nine games by an average margin of 20.7 points, will play in the SEC tournament final at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
