NCAA brackets in a minute: Wall Street Journal introduces "The Madness Machine"
Are you considering filling in a March Madness bracket but don't feel like going through the process of watching highlights, conducting research or basically doing even one thing yourself?
The Wall Street Journal has the answer.
Fans looking to fill out quick, easy brackets can do so courtesy the daily publication's "NCAA Madness Machine" site, which allows users to use a variety of sliders to determine their bracket selections.
Fans are given points in different categories which they can spend on various attributes. Favor teams with strong 3-point shooting? Feel free to spend more points there – but it'll limit what you can spend on rebounding, steals and free-throw shooting.
And no NCAA Tournament bracket creator would be complete without a "Madness Meter," which gives users the option of creating a bracket that is either tame, bonkers or anything in between.
Fans can also select their alma mater if they so choose, giving that school an extra boost in the simulation. (It is, however, recommended that users from Manhattan, Coastal Carolina or Robert Morris maybe skip that step.)
