No. 2 Kansas started Friday's matchup with 15th-seeded New Mexico State shooting quite well from the field, knocking down six of its first 10 shots.
That hot start was no thanks to big man Perry Ellis, who failed to convert on a pair of dunk attempts.
Ellis has been dealing with knee issues that caused him to miss some time. Obviously, he's still shaking the rust off.
