Coach K: 'I'm not close to' retiring
Despite winning his fifth national championship, Duke's head coach still has the itch.
The morning after coming out on top, Mike Krzyzewski went on The Dan Patrick Show, where he was asked about whether he's sticking around.
"I'm not close to (retiring)," Krzyzewski said. "I'll be back next year and I would think for a few more years. Just because we won, I'm not gonna get out of it."
Coach K, of course, is the man behind Duke's dynasty. The Blue Devils have won five national championships with him at the helm and will most certainly win more down the road.
But despite claiming March Madness glory four times prior, Krzyzewski said this time around was special.
"This team has really been a joy. I have loved this team, and win or lose last night I love this team," he said. "They were the closest team I've coached and every day - I'm not exaggerating - they were a joy to coach."
