Penn State forward Ross Travis's professional career is taking flight, but in a different sport.
The senior, who also doubles as a tight end, has been invited to partake in the Houston Texans mini-camp, according to Connor Whooley of The Daily Collegian.
On April 14, Travis declared for the NFL draft, but never came off the board. Despite having not played football since his freshman year of high school, he figures to give it another crack.
"I always thought about playing football again, and I thought it was a cool opportunity that I definitely had to take," Travis said. "I just had the mindset that you only live once."
On the court, Travis led the Nittany Lions in rebounding last season, averaging 6.3 to go with 5.5 points.
