Nigel Hayes is from Ohio, but he was never a priority in high school for Ohio State.
The Buckeyes probably regret that decision, as the senior small forward has found much success at Wisconsin.
After he dropped 21 points in the Badgers' 79-68 victory over the Buckeyes Thursday, a reporter asked the outspoken Hayes - who has a knack for entertaining in his postgame interviews - if the win was extra special because it came against the school that didn't heavily recruit him.
His answer was phenomenal, and he literally mic dropped.
Nigel Hayes on if OSU win had extra meaning: "I'll take my two Final Fours, my wins, and carry on my merry way" https://t.co/ETRFVzEgVs
