Central Connecticut State head coach Howie Dickenman told Jeff Goodman of ESPN on Thursday he plans to retire at season's end.

Dickenman is the second-longest-tenured head coach in program history and has been in charge of the Blue Devils since 1996. He has compiled a 279-295 record.

The Blue Devils have made the NCAA tournament three times under Dickenman's tutelage, with the most recent appearance coming in 2007.
