5 amazing coach meltdowns in college basketball
On Feb. 23, 1985, then-Indiana head coach Bobby Knight delivered the chair toss heard 'round the world. Thirty-one years later, it still remains one of the best coaching meltdowns of all time.
That said, there have been several other times when college basketball coaches have blown a gasket. So in honor of the 31st anniversary of Knight's freak-out, here are five more amazing coaching tirades.
Boeheim is beside himself
Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim was a man possessed after his team was called for a charge against Duke in 2014. It took minutes for Boeheim to calm down, and not even his assistant coaches wanted to go anywhere near him. His efforts got him ejected and it's a miracle his tie didn't come flying off during the outburst.
Miller lays into Tarczewski
This one isn't even a month old, but it's too good not to include. Arizona head coach Sean Miller explodes on Kaleb Tarczewski as the Wildcats were in the process of suffering their first home loss in 49 games. Miller was still fuming after the game.
"This isn't tennis, this is basketball. There's accountability on offense and defense" -Miller on getting mad at Tarczewski tonight.

What does he have against tennis?
Chaney threatens Calipari
Former Temple head coach John Chaney wasn't very impressed with a young John Calipari trying to make a name for himself. While at UMass, Calipari was in the crosshairs of Chaney's postgame rant, and the Owls boss wasn't messing around.
Calipari makes a quick exit
Some people believe in leaving on a high note, but Calipari believes in leaving on an angry one. The Kentucky head coach was recently ejected for this epic fit of rage when a game against South Carolina was barely two minutes old. It didn't hurt the Wildcats, though, as the Gamecocks inexplicably missed 3-of-4 ensuing free throws and Kentucky rolled to a victory. Oh, and Calipari got the afternoon off.
"The whole game was offensive rebounds!!!"
It would be impossible not to include former University of Michigan women's basketball coach Kevin Borseth on this list. The 61-year-old famously went off after a game due to a lack of offensive rebounds, and the range of emotions in his tantrum was unbelievable. All the man wanted was an offensive rebound. Is that too much to ask?
