Providence advanced past USC on a well-placed inbound from Drew Edwards to Rodney Bullock, shocking the Trojans - who missed free throws down the stretch - and keeping the Friars alive.
Coach Ed Cooley called it "divine providence to get that win" immediately following the 70-69 victory. The Friars will now take on North Carolina in a Round of 32 matchup many believe should be a close one.
