Joe Biden gave senior guard Trevor Cooney an "attaboy" on Twitter a day after his fellow Delaware native scored 15 points in a Sweet 16 win over Gonzaga.

Biden attended Syracuse College of Law in the 1960s. He had a collegiate athletic career of his own, playing halfback at Delaware as a freshman.
