Mike Gundy's mullet reaches next level
At last check, we weren't quite sure whether or not Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy had grown a mullet.
We can now confirm that he did - and does - have one, and it's reached new lengths since the Big 12 media days:
Gundy, himself, confirmed his growth of the mullet Tuesday as the Cowboys opened training camp.
"I haven't been around much to have a chance to get a haircut," he said. "So I just kind of let it go. At least I'm shaved ... I'm not sure yet (if I'll keep it). I think I'm at the 80s stage. I'm heading toward the 70s."
Gundy's hair was such a hot topic, in fact, that even quarterback Mason Rudolph was asked about it.
"It continues to grow," Rudolph said. "Yeah, man. I don't know if the barber is out of town or what's going on. But he's enjoying it. He's loving it. I hope it keeps going. We'll see."
