Texas A&M's Quartney Davis out for season with torn ACL
Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports
Texas A&M receiver Quartney Davis will miss the 2016 season with a torn ACL, head coach Kevin Sumlin told Houston Chronicle writer Brent Zwerneman.
Davis is a true freshman who was unlikely to see a significant role in A&M's loaded wideout rotation, but it's obviously a frustrating development as he starts his college career.
He'll presumably be at or near full health by the time the 2017 season comes around, however.
