The 6-foot-5 signal-caller was competing with Damian Williams, Nick Fitzgerald, and Nick Tiano to replace Dak Prescott.
"We would like to thank Elijah for his contributions to our football team. During his time here, he has always been a hard worker and a great teammate. We wish him nothing but the best as he pursues another opportunity," said head coach Dan Mullen.
Satley has not announced where he will go, but will have to sit out one year to comply with the NCAA transfer policy.
