Baylor's Johnny Jefferson out for 'a while' following car accident

Baylor interim head coach Jim Grobe announced that running back Johnny Jefferson would be out "a while" with sore ribs following a car accident he was involved in over the weekend, according to Max Olsen of ESPN.
Jefferson, who has also been nursing a foot injury, posted a photo of the accident on his Instagram account:
The 5-foot-10, 205 pound Texas native recorded 1000 yards on 136 attempts for eight touchdowns last season.
Baylor kicks off its season Sept. 2nd against Northwestern State.
