Not even the weather could slow down Devon Allen.

After a brief rain delay, the Oregon receiver qualified for the semifinal in 110m hurdles in Rio with a second-place finish on Monday night.

"A little bit sloppy, but adrenaline kind of took over on that one and I think I'll clean it up for tomorrow," Allen said after Monday's race.

Allen's time of 13.41 seconds was more than enough to earn him a spot in Tuesday's semifinal race, but he won't be satisfied with that accomplishment.

''I'm really just going out there to win a gold medal,'' Allen said Sunday. ''My goal is to win every heat.''

The wideout has also been an effective speedster in the Ducks' receiving corps, tallying 50 career receptions, and seven touchdowns.
