Alabama's Kendall Sheffield not currently with team

Alabama is having a hard time keeping corners around these days.
Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban told reporters Tuesday that Kendall Sheffield is currently away from the team and it's uncertain when he'll return.
Saban did not reveal the reason for the absence.
"We'd like for him to be part of the program if that's what he chooses," Saban said.
Sheffield figures to have a shot at the nickel corner role, now that Maurice Smith has transferred to Georgia.
The freshman is a five-star prospect from the 2015 class, so losing both him and Smith would be a big blow to the depth of Saban's secondary.
