Oklahoma State's Barry Sanders: Starting running back job still unknown
Sanders joins Chris Carson and Rennie Childs as candidates for the starting running back position at Oklahoma State this year. With a limited sample size, it's still unknown how much Sanders will contribute, reports Chandler Vessels of the Stillwater News Press.
Analysis:
Sanders is likely better than Carson and Childs who combined for 861 yards (4.24 yards per carry) and six touchdowns in a potent Oklahoma State offense a year ago. However, at the same time, it sometimes takes players a little while to adjust to a new setting and Sanders has immediately become a celebrity in Stillwater due to his father's legendary status. If Sanders makes the transition, he'll have a lot of opportunities in an offense which returns 10 starters.
