Alabama's Cooper Bateman: Throws at least one INT in scrimmage
Bateman threw at least one interception in Saturday's scrimmage while failing to find the end zone, AL.com reports.
Analysis:
Bateman, Blake Barnett and Jalen Hurts all remain in the mix for the No. 1 quarterback job, and the coaching staff does not appear to be in any hurry to name a starter. "I think everybody is capable," [head coach Nick] Saban said. "I don't have any question about the capabilities. We talk about this on a daily basis. But each time we talk about it, somebody seems to come to the forefront, and then all of a sudden somebody else sort of pushes ahead. So the person that can play with the most consistency is the guy that's going to have the best opportunity to lead us in the first game, and I can't really say that one guy sticks out right now."
