Pitt defensive back Jordan Whitehead left Saturday's game against Clemson after suffering an arm injury that was too gruesome for ESPN to show on television.
The sophomore was carted off the field after appearing to break his arm while throwing a tackle on the play.
Things didn't get any better for the Panthers, with Deshaun Watson completing a 27-yard touchdown pass to Deon Cain on the very next play.
Earlier in the game, Whitehead looked to have returned a 100-yard fumble for a touchdown, but it was called back when it was ruled Wayne Gallman crossed the goal line.
Whitehead tallied 56 tackles in eight games coming into Saturday's contest, and had nine versus the Tigers.
