San Jose State announced the firing of head coach Ron Caragher on Sunday after four seasons.
Caragher finished the 2016 season 4-8. He had a 19-30 overall record, 14-18 in conference games and won the Cure Bowl in 2015.
“I want to thank coach Caragher for his hard work and commitment to San Jose State football these past four years,” athletic director Gene Bleymaier said in the statement. “A search for a new head coach will begin immediately.”
