OT Isaiah Wilson, No. 2 overall recruit, chooses Georgia
This should make Jacob Eason happy.
Georgia landed a commitment from five-star offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson on Friday. Wilson is the No. 2 overall prospect on the ESPN 300 for 2017.

The No. 1 player in the state of New York is an imposing figure at tackle, standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 354 lbs. That size should come in handy while trying to protect Eason from the SEC's top pass-rushers.
Wilson also visited Michigan, Florida State, and Alabama, leaving many surprised that Jim Harbaugh's recruiting efforts didn't sway him to join the Wolverines.

I'm not entirely sure what just happened but Isaiah Wilson committed to Georgia.

Michigan's loss is Kirby Smart's gain, and the Bulldogs head coach needed something positive to start the offseason. Smart was tasked with getting Georgia to the next level when he took over for Mark Richt, but his inaugural campaign in Athens ended with a 7-5 record.
Only once in Richt's 15-year tenure with the program did he fail to reach eight wins.
