In a Rose Bowl that could compete with your grandmother's Rose Bowl, USC came back from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter, to a three-point victory against Penn State.

1. The Rose Bowl was packed with Trojans and Nittany Lions fans in the 103rd edition of the Granddaddy of Them All.
2. Penn State tight end Mike Gesicki made a beautiful diving catch to put the Nittany Lions down just six points at the half.
3. On the first play of the second half, star running back Saquon Barkley made seven people miss, on his way to a 79-yard touchdown run and Penn State's first lead of the game.
4. Chris Godwin caught nine passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns, including this catch that turned into a 72-yard score and part of 28 straight points by Penn State.
5. After throwing two interceptions on his first two pass attempts, Trace McSorley settled down, throwing four touchdowns and 254 yards, plus a rushing touchdown.
6. All-American Adoree' Jackson injured his ankle in the second half and did not return, on top of star linebacker Cameron Smith being ejected for targeting, depleting the Trojans' defense.
7. Deontay Burnett made the game-tying, 27-yard touchdown with 1:27 left in the fourth quarter, giving him 13 catches for 164 yards and three touchdowns.
