North Texas to pay Littrell $900K base salary in 5-year extension
Seth Littrell's first year at North Texas resulted in a handsome contract extension first reported back in February, and it appears a healthy salary is going to come along with those terms.
The second-year head coach of the Mean Green is set to earn a base salary of $900,000 in each of the five seasons under his new agreement with the university, according to Brett Vito of The Denton Record-Chronicle. Littrell also received a $36,000 bonus upon signing the deal.
The Denton Record-Chronicle received a copy of Littrell's finalized deal courtesy of an open records request.
After a dismal 1-11 season, Littrell brought North Texas back to Conference USA relevancy with the program's highest win total since the Mean Green went 9-4 in 2013 and captured the Heart of Dallas Bowl over UNLV.
