Justin Fuente appears to have found a replacement for Jerod Evans.
With Virginia Tech set to open its regular season against rival West Virginia, the head coach announced Monday that Josh Jackson will be the Hokies' man under center, according to David Teel of the Daily Press.
Jackson redshirted last year for the Hokies, meaning he'll be thrust directly into the deep end in his collegiate debut Sept. 3.
Teel also reported that with Jackson named the starter, redshirt junior AJ Bush is the primary candidate to earn the backup job.
