John Franklin III is heading back to Florida.
Franklin announced Tuesday he would be transferring out of Auburn to FAU to play his final collegiate season.
The quarterback-turned-receiver started his career at Florida State before leaving for East Mississippi Community College and becoming a star on the Netflix series "Last Chance U."
Franklin struggled to earn playing time behind center at Auburn with quarterbacks Sean White and Jeremy Johnson above him on the depth chart. He would eventually move to receiver, but posted just one reception last season.
As a graduate transfer, Franklin will be immediately eligible to play for the Owls in 2017.
