South Florida's D'Ernest Johnson: Sheds walking boot

Johnson (lower body) was not sporting a walking boot during practice Tuesday, Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

Johnson was spotted in a walking boot last Thursday before the Bulls' bye week, but appears ready to roll as the team prepares for Saturday's contest against UMass. Assuming he goes as expected, Johnson should continue to split carries with Darrius Tice (foot), who also shed his walking boot for Monday's practice session.
